ADMINISTRATIVE EXPERIENCE

·           Director of Academic Affairs, Chemical Engineering Department,

 

·           King Abdulaziz University, March - August, 1983.

 

·           Acting Chairman, Chemical Engineering Department, King Abdulaziz University, July 1983 - August 1983.

 

·           Director of Maintenance Department, College of Engineering, October 1983-1985. Participated in: Organizing the Administrative Structure in the Maintenance Department, Establishing the Use of the computer in the same department; improving the exterior condition of the College Building and finally, setting up a Telephone Network for a group of Engineering buildings on the campus.

 

·           Director of Scientific Research Administration, College of Engineering, Sept., 1986 -Jan., 1989. Participated in: Organizing the Administrative and Scientific Structure in Science Research Administration. preparing and editing the manual of applied research, funded by the University (English/Arabic Version) for the years from 1986 to 1988; Planning and Implementing the Computerization of the Research Projects of the College.

 

·          Director of University Sponsored Research Administration at King Abdulaziz University, Feb. 1989 - Aug. 1990. Participated in Organizing the Administrative and Scientific Structure in the Research Center at K.A.U. Assisting the Investigators of the Research Projects.   

 

·          Coordinator of Hydrogen Production by the Solar Energy (Hysolar Project), in the K.A.A.U. from Oct. 1992 - Oct. 1993.

 

·           Member of the Administrative Council for the University Staff Coop. At KAAU, April 2001- 2004.

 

·          Vice Dean , Faculty of Engineering at Kau,(1997-2007).During this period many work have been accomplished .Some of these are: :

 

·          Obtaining the Academic ABET Accreditation for all 12 Faculty Programs- Effective contributions to prepare the new ABET Accreditation - EC 2000- Preparation of the faculty's Bulletin for 2000, 2004& 2006 (in English ) and in 2006 (in Arabic)-Developing the new curricula for the college ( The third and the fourth development)-

 

·           Senior General Manager at Savola Snack Food Company (SSFC), Sept., 1993 to October, 1995. Participated in running the daily business of SSFC, helping in developing the SSFC’S general infrastructure & worked in the Technical Dept., in setting up the Chocolate Factory while, in addition, heading the Human Resources Dept.

 

·          General Supervisor at Badra Saudi Factories Company [Production of Biscuits and Candies], Dec. 1995 to Sept., 1996. Developed the Infrastructure of the Company, running the daily business for the Departments (Sales, Finance, Production, etc) and setting the rules for the organization of all the Departments at the factory.

 

·          Sabbatical year at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada, (Aug. 1990, to Oct., 1991), worked on Spouted Bed Drying with Prof. Norman Epstein, and in Fluidized Bed Drying with Prof. John Grace.
